Sunday, September 20, will start off with registration at 8:30 a.m. in the church basement.
Church services are at 9:30 a.m. with Holy Communion and songs from our Sunday School children. Sons and Daughters of the Congregation – Pastor Jerry Boerner and Pastor Tammy Keen will be a part of the worship service, led by Pr. Rochelle Anderson.
A free-will catered meal of roast beef and chicken, with a sweet Norwegian treat and lefse, will follow the church service. A documentary entitled “150 Years of Faith: Kongsvinger Lutheran Church” will be shared. Mike Cihak is producing this documentary which will be shown in the Parish Hall following our meal. Mike has spent numerous hours researching Kongsvinger history and interviewing members in creating this historical treasure for Kongsvinger. Stretch your legs and join us for our Anniversary Program in the church following the documentary. There will be reminiscing and sharing stories from former pastors and guests. Greetings will be shared and favorite hymns enjoyed. The day will end with light refreshments – cupcakes and beverage. Stay and visit ‘til the cows come home and then go on your way “Rooted in Christ and Reaching for the Future.”
